About PII Redaction Tool
A small team that reads de-identification standards in their own words and builds them into a tool, alongside helping companies license data once it is properly de-identified.
Why we built this
Each regime draws the line between personal and de-identified data in different words. Redacting to the wrong standard is redacting twice.
Who this helps
Data, privacy and engineering teams preparing records to be shared, published or licensed, in the US, the EU and the UK.

Things it does not do
- We do not accept or process any data through this site.
- We do not tell you that your redaction meets a standard; the tool shows what the standard says.
- We do not treat pseudonymised data as anonymous where the text says otherwise.
